The purpose of the Max Skousen Website is to provide access to some of the deeper spiritual truths of the Christian religion, especially as they apply to Mormonism. This approach recognizes the limitations to any fixed position of seeing truth in only one way and the universality of truth found in all religions when seen with an understanding of the One Infinite Source of life, joy, peace and love. You will find that I am not "anti" anything or anyone, including those who choose to be. I truly recognize the hand of God in ALL things and, therefore, look for His value and purpose in all things that are, have been and will be. Although I, personally, have been rather successful in five different careers simultaneously, my main interest has always been in the field of individual spiritual attainment.
Although I am a fully dedicated believer in the divine mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and support its leadership on all levels, I willingly and peacefully accepted a loss of membership on the records of the church in December 1996 for only one reason, which was to share these deeper views of the scriptures among members of the Church. I believe the Lord wants most members of the church to feast on the spiritual milk of the gospel at this time, rather than the spiritual gospel meat, both of which are from God. My purpose is to serve those who are not content to have only milk, thus are hungering and thirsting. In serving these deeper seekers, I consider myself to be still a full, loyal, non-critical member of His church on the records in heaven.
